HattiWatt and a new version update

The HattiWatt mobile app was launched in autumn 2022 to make it easier to follow hourly spot-price electricity during an unstable market period. From the start, the app was designed around widgets that are easy to understand at a glance, together with a simple price graph.

As HattiWatt has developed, open data about Finland's electricity production and consumption has been added to the app. It is now easier for consumers to follow the state of the electricity system because the key information is available in the same app as hourly exchange prices. In the app settings, users can also add electricity distribution prices, margins and taxes to the price view.

We recently released a new version update with bug fixes and new features. The update adds support for negative prices, daily and monthly average prices, and a separate list view for hourly prices in addition to the graph. We also added traffic-light colors to the hourly price view so price changes are even easier to notice.

These improvements are intended to make HattiWatt more comfortable and useful in everyday use. We hope they bring HattiWatt users a clearer and more pleasant experience.

During the past six months we have received a lot of encouraging customer feedback and many interesting development ideas. We tried to include as many of those ideas as possible in the latest version. Not every wish made it into this release, but product development continues.
